Getting to know the island:
Itinerary 1
Leave Santa Cruz, and pass through Caveira, Lomba, Fazenda, to Lajes das Flores. In this village place, go down to the fishing port, stop at the lighthouse and visit Nossa Senhora do Rosário Church, a monument built in the XVIII century. Continue to Lajedo, and to the belvedere of Alto do Mosteiro after visiting the Rocha dos Bordões and Rasa and Funda craters. Go down to Fajã Grande passing through Fajãzinha; return by the same road and after visiting the Monte das Cruzes belvedere, follow to Santa Cruz by the road that crosses the island enjoying the view.
Itinerary 2
Leave Santa Cruz toward Ponta Delgada. Stop at the Forest Park of Fazenda, at the belvedere of Rocha dos Caimbros and admire the Alagoa Bay. Continue through Cedros till Ponta Delgada admiring the beautiful scenery. Return to Santa Cruz by the same way.
